INENA and IL APCO Executive Boards, along with the Joint Legislative Committees, will be holding a meeting in Springfield on Sunday, April 19th, at 4:00pm at the Crowne Plaza to discuss the pending legislation HB5751 https://trackbill.com/bill/illinois-house-bill-5157-emergency-telephone-system/1895863/, more specifically the possible language regarding audits and allowable expenditures of 9-1-1 Surcharges. As we continue to find ways to improve communications and involvement of our memberships, we are extending an invitation to the general membership to observe discussions. In an effort to keep the already large group focused and productive, we will allow specific times throughout the workshop for membership suggestions and comments. If you are unable to attend Sunday evening, the results of this workshop will be shared at the 9-1-1 SAB meeting the following day, Monday, April 20th at 10 am, either in person or over the internet broadcast link, if available.

In order to accommodate those attending, you must RSVP to the Sunday night meeting as it will impact the room size, setup and food provided. The hotel does not allow outside food to be brought in.  Please use the following link CLICK HERE to RSVP no later than 5PM Tuesday, April 14th.

As a reminder, both INENA and IL APCO Executive Boards along with the Joint Legislative Committee are available and willing to answer questions or listen to concerns or ideas of the membership.

Thank you,

Shelley Dallas & Brent Reynolds
INENA & IL APCO Presidents
