INTERNET ADVERTISING POLICY March 26, 2005 Illinois APCO will accept advertising for display on the chapter web site (www.ilapco.org) from public safety vendors and companies.  These vendors include but are not limited to vendors and companies selling or promoting hardware, software and training.  Other vendors and companies wishing to advertise on the Illinois APCO chapter web site will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  No advertising of an adult, obscene or pornographic nature will be considered or accepted.  Advertising will not be accepted for the chapter's historical web site (www.apcohistory.org). Advertisements shall take the form of a banner or box ad and will appear in a prominent position on the main page of the web site.  Advertisers are responsible for providing the graphic to be used in the ad.  All graphics must be in GIF or JPG formats and should be no larger than 20 kilobytes.  Illinois APCO reserves the right to adjust the size of the banner or box ad as needed but in no case shall a box ad be smaller than 100 x 100 pixels or a banner ad smaller than 600 x 60 pixels.  Animations are permitted but must not contain more than four (4) frames and must conform to size limitations. Rates:  Box ads are $10 per month with a three (3) month minimum.  Banner ads are $15 per month with a three (3) month minimum.  Animated ads are 10% additional.  A discount of 10% will be applied to ads running for a period of at least six (6) months but not longer than eleven (11) months.  A 20% discount will be applied to ads running for a period of twelve (12) months or longer. Ads may be submitted on Windows XP Pro formatted computer diskettes or CD's (CD's and disks will not be returned) or via e-mail to emilam@plvw.org . Files must be in GIF or JPG format.  Include the name and e-mail address ir phone number of the gif/jpg designer in case we cannot process your file. A completed application form and payment must accompany submission of the ad.  Payment can be made by check, money order, certified check, VISA Card or MasterCard. Illinois APCO reserves the right to refuse material deemed unsuitable.  Advertiser agrees to indemnify APCO against any loss, damages or expenses resulting from libelous copy or unauthorized use of any name, photograph, sketch, pictures or words protected by privacy laws, copyright or registered trademarks, etc., in connection with advertising.
