Letter to the FCC - June 21, 2022

Legislative Update - June 14th, 2022

Please see the attached letter sent to Governor Pritzker's Office today regarding new information learned from the FCC during the NENA Conference in Kentucky this week. The two associations believe the information received  is important to share with the Governor, Comptroller, Treasurer, and the top four legislators in hopes of receiving a final determination on whether the funds swept from 911 for 988 will be considered a sweep by the FCC. Ultimately we are asking for the funds not to be swept until an official determination is made, and if it is a sweep to delay the transfer until legislation can be introduced to find another funding source.
