UPDATE!
The IL-APCO and INENA Executive Boards met with the Legislative Committee on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 0800 hours to review Title 83, Public Utilities, Chapter IV: Department of State Police, Part 1324. The group reviewed the document and compiled a list of suggested changes. The suggested changes for Part 1324 are minimal, so the decision was made to not have a general membership meeting. If we receive significant feedback from the membership, a town hall meeting will be scheduled. If you do have comments, please send them to the Legislative co-chairs, Ralph Caldwell and John Ferraro, no later than October 2, 2023.

Please review the draft of Part 1324 that was provided at the Monday, September 18th Statewide 9-1-1 Advisory Board (SAB) meeting. The INENA and IL APCO Joint Legislative Committee will be reviewing and providing comments to our membership by the end of September and, in turn, will be asking for membership feedback to the Legislative Co-Chairs thereafter.
NOTE: The language in italics is in the statute and cannot be changed.
Comments to the ISP are due by October 20th, 2023. Our goal is to provide a unified response by both 9-1-1 public safety associations after receiving feedback from our memberships.
Be aware that the document is fluid and may be modified frequently over the course of the next year; it is important for INENA and IL APCO membership attendance and input at the SAB meetings as follows:
