Our March newsletter is out, and it's packed with timely and meaningful content for our ECC community.

As we recognize Women’s History Month, I hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact women have had, and continue to have, in public safety communications. From the earliest days of dispatch to today’s NG9-1-1 environments, their leadership and resilience have shaped this profession in powerful ways.

You’ll also find an important Cyber Intel feature highlighting real-world ransomware impacts to ECCs and what that means for interoperable systems. It’s a strong reminder that as we modernize, cybersecurity must remain a priority at every level. In addition, the stories featured in Teammates in Action and the Awards section beautifully reinforce why peer recognition matters so much in our field. Our work is often unseen, but never insignificant.

Be sure to check out the upcoming accreditation webinar as well (I’m the moderator). Strengthening training programs and aligning with national standards is one of the most tangible ways we can invest in our people and our future.

 Finally, even though it’s not in this issue, now is the perfect time to start preparing for Telecommunicators Week next month. Think about how you’ll celebrate your team, recognize excellence, and highlight the essential role of dispatchers in your community. A little planning now goes a long way.
